Artifact 1: Paper from EDPY 401: Learners and the Diversity of Learning
The following research paper from my EDPY 401 course explains the relationship between emotion and learning that I constructed during my Learners and the Diversity of Learning Course. The highlighted portions emphasize the key concepts, theories, and frameworks that led me to develop my key understanding of realizing that "positive feedback drives the future success of learners". This course concept helped me to gain understanding about the importance of using positive feedback with learners in the classroom.
Artifact 2: Teacher Evidence Forms: SCTS 4.0 Rubric/Evaluation
The following documents are write-ups of Observations of my teaching. The highlighted portions emphasize the connections that I drew between the positive feedback I give and a variety of learning outcomes that my students achieve when I teach, this led me to develop and understanding of the way that positive feedback drives the success of learners as noted in my Key Insight. As noted and highlighted in various sections of The Teacher Evidence forms, I aim to always strive to create a comfortable and positive environment and tone within my classroom and within my teaching. The evaluations speak to the other outcomes of student learning that come from these positive environments such as students understanding objectives, students feeling comfortable in the classroom, deep and meaningful discussions occurring, and collaboration between myself and my students but also student interactions with their peers. All of these outcomes can be equated to student success.
